Port Harcourt based legal practitioner Divine Aguru this morning via his Facebook timeline called on Nigerian movie makers to always seek professional guidance on the dressing, mannerisms and procedures of professionals they wish to portray in their movies.
Sharing Artwork of a movie titled “Castle & Castle” which is set to premier on the 1st of July, Divine said that he is yet to find a single Nigerian movie that has gotten it right in any aspect, stating that the way lawyers dressed in the above mentioned movie is totally wrong and no Nigerian lawyer should be caught dressed that way.
Below is his post on his Facebook timeline:
“When will Nigerian movie makers start seeking professional guidance on the dressing, mannerisms and procedures of lawyers and the courts in Nigeria?
I am yet to find a single Nigerian movie that has gotten it right in any aspect at all. It is as though the movie industry took an oath to perpetually portray the legal profession in Nigeria in the most ridiculous manner thinkable.
It doesn’t take much to simply ask questions and be guided. But they choose not to. Yet they want us to keep patronising local movies, bla bla bla!
To be clear, the people in this photo are dressed in a manner that no Nigerian lawyer should be caught in.”
