Passing a hair salon I cross everyday while coming to work I noticed the woman was friendly with me. I didn’t greet her because a lot of things were going through my head at that moment but she reached out to me and even called me her friend.🤷🏼
I pondered 🤔on the unusual friendliness until I got the reason behind it.😌
I had loosened my hair over the weekend and she saw me as a prospect. She was been friendly to get me to think about making my hair there. 😂
I smiled at her marketing strategy, it was tactical and i want to teach you one or two things you can learn from it and apply to get new customers on social media.
As a business owner in search of customers, your undoing would be to sit back and wait for the customers to come to you. 😒
Yes you may have been doing your homework and giving value but there are prospective clients out there that won’t come to you until you reach out to them.
A good example is if you are a marketer and in need of more clients, here is what to do:
1⃣ SEARCH FOR YOUR TARGET CUSTOMERS ONLINE
As a marketer, your prospects are likely to be business owners who have good and services they want to market. If you are a fitness trainer you can look out for chubby ladies or men.
One secret Is going to online groups that focuses on the problem you are trying to solve. People there are likely looking for solutions to that problem.
2⃣ GO THROUGH THEIR PROFILES:
If the person sells goods or services, look at the person’s marketing strategy and try to find out something he or she may not be doing right or may not be doing at all.
Identify their problems.
3⃣ CONNECT WITH THEM AND GET THEM TO TRUST YOU
Build a conversation with them first. Then subtly divert to whatever their problem is and give them tips. Do not try to sale to them at first point.
You can refer them to something you have (A free resource) that can solve their problem or tell them to check out your timeline (You should have done your homework by now)
4⃣ MAKE SALES
Once they see you are able to solve their problem, they will be able to trust you with their money.
Note that it is value first before sales.
The value you give shows you know your onions. So show them you are an expert in your field.
These four steps may be a long process but are sure to get you not just new clients but referrals from them if you are strategic about it.
