Hard work truly pays as Nigerian singer Burna Boy is receiving payment for his hard work throughout the year. The singer was recently announced as one of the African artiste who made it to the Grammy nomination list for 2020.
Ever since the singer was announced nominee for the 2020 Grammy Awards, celebrities and Nigerians have been celebrating the singer for making the country proud. In a turn of events, South African rapper AKA, who is not on good terms with Burna Boy, has also congratulated him. The rapper congratulated Burna Boy in a post on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter.
AKA has shared the congratulatory tweet after a Nigerian user identified as @Brave931, tweeted at him asking for his thoughts on Burna Boy nomination. The rapper replied to the tweet with the words ‘congratulations obviously’.
CONGRATULATIONS … obviously. https://t.co/XDws0j8gnb

Burna Boy’s beef with AKA began during xenophobic attacks in South Africa this year. Burna Boy had taken to Twitter to share his thoughts on the attacks.
He had also vowed never to set foot in the country after many Nigerians based in South Africa became victims of the attacks. These tweets led to a war of words between the singer and AKA.
